Danny Murphy has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Evan Ferguson is going to be a ‘very, very special’ striker in the future.
The former Tottenham midfielder added that Pascal Gross, who is his Brighton teammate, told him that Evan Ferguson has ‘no weakness’ to his game.
The 18-year-old is flying high for a Brighton side that is pushing for Champions League football this season – He has been compared to Harry Kane amid Tottenham’s reported interest.

From making his breakthrough in the Premier League this season to repping the Republic of Ireland on the international stage, it’s all going right for the teenager.
And Murphy thinks big things are headed the youngster’s way, as he told talkSPORT.
“How can you not love the lad,” said Murphy. “He’s massive, strong, he’s a good finisher, two feet, quick enough and awareness. He sees things happening around him.
“I was talking to Pascal Gross about Evan Ferguson. He was speaking in such high regard about Ferguson and basically saying he doesn’t see a weakness.

“He’s going to be a very, very special player, I think. He’s in the right place, by the way.
“I know there is talk about big clubs coming in, and understandably so. (But) he should stay.”

CAN FERGUSON HELP BRIGHTON TO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL
Roberto De Zerbi’s side recently suffered a 2-1 defeat to Spurs – a controversial game that saw Alan Shearer fuming.
That provided Spurs with the edge to try and pip the Seagulls away from them in the race for the top four.
But, make no bones about it, they are still in the race for the top four and it wouldn’t be a surprise if this goes to the last day of the season.
