Robbie Savage has questioned why the under-fire Jurgen Klopp would leave Liverpool to become Tottenham Hotspur’s next manager.
During BBC Radio 5 Live Sport’s 606 programme, a Tottenham fan suggested to Robbie Savage that Spurs should replace the recently-sacked Antonio Conte with Jurgen Klopp.
The Liverpool boss is in a fourth-placed battle with managerless Spurs, but they couldn’t close the gap on the north London club after losing 4-1 to Manchester City on Saturday – Alan Shearer was very critical of Trent Alexander-Arnold after the game.

But whilst Liverpool try to pick themselves up from the floor again, after another abject performance on the road, it’s a world of mess at Hotspur Way.
Not in terms of Tottenham’s league position, but the sacking of Antonio Conte, how it all came about, an interim now being in charge and managing sporting director, Fabio Paratici, having to recently step down.
It has to be questioned which manager would want to take this current Spurs job, especially if Harry Kane leaves in the summer, but Savage just wasn’t having the suggestion that it should be Klopp, as he told 606.
“Don’t say Spurs,” responded Savage. “Don’t say Spurs! You would like Jurgen Klopp to come to Spurs?”

The Spurs fan responded: “Yes, I think he would be a great manager for Spurs. He spends a few years at his club, gets tired, needs a change and Spurs would be a great fit for him.”
Savage responded: “Wow! Why would you leave a club that has won the Premier League and the Champions League, and will compete again, for a club that never wins anything?! Jurgen Klopp would want to go to a club that can win stuff.”

KLOPP WOULD NEVER TAKE TOTTENHAM JOB
Whatever you think of Klopp’s current situation at Liverpool, the German wouldn’t even, in Tottenham fans’ dreams, take the gig at Hotspur Way.
First of all, he has to head for the Anfield exit door for that to happen, but after recently signing a new deal, his task is trying to get the Merseyside club back to winning trophies again after a season of real struggle.
Come the summer, whilst Spurs need their own rebuild, there is going to be one at Anfield and Klopp is going to be at the heart of it.
