The release date and time countdown for when NBA 2K23 season 5 will come out and start has been confirmed, and the exciting level 40 rewards for MyTeam and MyCareer have been revealed.
NBA 2K23 is the latest instalment in the long-running basketball series. Unfortunately, it does not have cross platform multiplayer similar to 2K22, and fans are understandably hoping that the inevitable 2K24 will be the first to introduce crossplay to the series.
While 2K24 is expected to arrive sometime around September, tomorrow we will all be able to enjoy season 5.
When does NBA 2K23 season 5 start?
The release date and time countdown for when NBA 2K23 season 5 will come out is 08:00 PST, 11:00 EDT, and 16:00 GMT on February 24th.
2K has confirmed the above date and launch hours over on their update 5.0 patch notes for current-gen PlayStation and Xbox systems (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S). February 24th is also when the season 4 week 6 event list will end as confirmed by NBA2K on Twitter.

MyCareer and MyTeam rewards
The NBA 2K23 season 5 MyTeam rewards includes a 99 OVR Tyler Herro as the level 40 prize.
2K’s courtside report for season 5 says players will need to earn 150,000 XP in MyTeam to get this version of Tyler Herro. As for MyCareer, the level 40 reward is a Pocket Bike.
Other prizes for MyCareer include an Hawaiian Shirt at level 10, and Nike Ja 1 Shoes at level 35. All of these prizes are appropriate as the brand new chapter introduces warm weather and palm trees.
