Anwar El Ghazi was delighted that Bertrand Traore returned to Aston Villa’s first-team action during their 1-1 draw at West Ham United on Sunday.
The former Villa winger posted on Instagram ‘my boy is back’ after Unai Emery brought Traore off the bench against the Hammers at the London Stadium.
During the January transfer window, the Midlands outfit opted to recall Traore from his loan spell in order to boost their attacking options.

Villa fans were questioning whether Emery would dip into the transfer market and sign any new faces for his forward line, especially with Danny Ings heading to West Ham.
But that player wasn’t clearly available and Villa decided against pushing the panic button, and instead, they recalled Traore.
Initially, he had an injury, hence why he didn’t play straight away, but he earned his first minutes of the season from the bench over the weekend.
Traore took to IG to express his delight at returning and how he is ‘happy to be back in a Villa shirt’.
In the comments section, El Ghazi, who is now at PSV after leaving Villa in the summer, added ‘My boy is back’ added with heart emojis.

TRAORE’S VILLA FUTURE
It’s going to be interesting to see if Traore can force himself into Emery’s first-team plans during this final stretch of the season.
Leon Bailey’s form has dipped off once more and the winger is being questioned, so from that sense, a door is open to walk in.
During Emery’s career, it’s the low-profile players or those who have previously struggled that he has managed to get the best out of and the same might happen with Traore here.
