Miranda Lambert’s husband zones out & chats with pals at her Atlantic City concert as she gives him shout-out from stage

MIRANDA Lambert’s husband Brendan McLoughlin zoned out while his wife performed in New Jersey on Saturday night.

In video obtained exclusively by The U.S. Sun, Brendan, 33, appeared to spend the entirety of his time at his wife’s concert chatting with friends while seemingly ignoring praise from Miranda on stage at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City.

The country singer gave two shout-outs to her husband while she was performing, including one in which she heaped praise on the former New York City police officer.

She said: “I feel like I’m home a little bit, because I married a New Yorker, and I spent a lot of time in New Jersey.

“I played here like 14 years ago, and four times since then, so I’m kinda from around here now. Anyway since I feel like I’m home, I’m gonna play y’all a new song, if thats okay.”

Miranda continued: “Speaking of New Yorkers, my husband is a retired NYPD officer and he’s a co-writer for this next song.”

“That’s right. He went from cop to co-writer real fast when he moved to Nashville,” she added with a laugh.

“Anyway, this one’s a song for anybody you need to flip the bird to, and in my case his name is Randy. So this one’s called Dammit Randy.”

In a second shoutout of the concert, Brendan appeared to be so engrossed in a conversation with a female friend, he didn’t bother to acknowledge the headlining act giving him a shout-out.

“Brendan and I went to the Landshark today,” she said referencing a restaurant across the boardwalk from the Hard Rock.

“Where we had a beer and some coconut shrimp, and I saw all kinds of people from all walks of life, and it reminded me, to be who you are no matter what because it takes all kinds of folk,” she continued before going into her next song.

Throughout the shout-out, an eyewitness said Brendan did not look toward the stage, and most of his conversation was caught on the video.

Brendan, who was wearing all white, looked engrossed in his conversation with a woman, while Miranda spoke about their date earlier in the day from the stage.

At the end of Miranda’s concert, during the last song, Brendan made his way through his group of friends giving goodbye hugs and kisses to everyone before running backstage.

Meanwhile, a source at Hard Rock told The U.S. Sun that Miranda’s crew had checked in on Friday.

“They have this really big group with them, and they checked in on Friday night,” the insider said.

It appeared from Brendan’s goodbyes to his friends that he was leaving Atlantic City promptly after the concert on Saturday night.

Just last month, Miranda appeared on Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie Xo’s podcast, and praised Brendan for co-writing Dammit Randy.

Miranda, 40, said on the show that the track is Brendan’s first songwriting credit.

“We cut it in the studio, he wasn’t there all day, he came in the afternoon,” she said.

“I was like, ‘I wanna play you something.’ The whole band knew he’d written it, so we’re just staring at him… and we pushed play,” the singer recalled.

“He won’t say it, but he got a little misty-eyed,” she added.

MARTIAL WORK

The country singer and her retired NYPD beau have collaborated on several songs together, though Dammit Randy is the first she’s released with Brendan as a co-writer.

During her chat with Bunny XO, the country singer said she and Brendan worked on “probably four or five little tunes” in 2020, while in Covid lockdown.

Miranda said it was songwriter Jesse Frasure who ended up corralling her husband into the studio after he commented on how songwriting is easy.

Miranda said her husband told Jesse, ‘Songwriting’s not that hard, it’s easy,’ So [Jesse] made him come in and do a little write.”

Miranda Lambert’s Relationship History

Miranda Lambert rose to fame in 2003, after she appeared on Nashville Star. The singer released a number of hits that put her on the map in the mainstream country world. Early in her career, she was linked to fellow country crooner Blake Shelton, whom she eventually married. The pair divorced in 2015, however, and both have moved on.

Here’s a look at Miranda’s relationship history:

Blake Shelton:

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton got engaged in 2010 after several years of dating. The pair married in 2011 and stayed together until 2015.

Anderson East:

Miranda and Anderson went public with their relationship in 2016. They were together for two years, calling it quits in 2018.

Evan Felker:

Miranda and Evan, famous for being a singer in the Turnpike Troubadours, dated briefly from June to August 2018. At the time, Evan was still legally married to his estranged wife Staci Felker.

Brendan McLoughlin:

Miranda debuted her romance with Brendan in February 2019, revealing that they were married. They celebrated their second wedding anniversary in February 2021 and attended the Grammy Awards together two months later.

She said they were all in the studio for over four hours before Brendan admitted it was “really hard.”

“We taught him a lesson,” she added.

STICKING IT OUT

Miranda’s appearance on Bunny XO comes after rumors the pair were heading for a split after Brendan was spotted hanging out with a group of girls at his wife’s bar.

In a video of the incident, which was first shared to TikTok, Brendan could be seen dancing with the women.

However, the women claimed it was innocent, revealing Miranda’s husband left the establishment before they did.

Earlier in August, Miranda posted a smiling photo of herself and her Brendan during a trip to Italy.

She wrote in the caption “Thank you for your beauty, history, art, wine, gelato, sweetest people and the memories.”

The couple in good spirits while spending time traveling Italy.

Miranda has not publicly addressed the rumors about her marriage or the bar incident.
