Mindy Kaling looked stunning during her recent Oscar appearance, but how did the star lose weight?
The Oscars was a star-studded event as all the celebrities brought out their best outfits to walk down the champagne-colored carpet as the Academy Awards ditched the popular red-carpet this year.
While everyone looked flawless, one person who stole the show was Mindy Kaling who appeared wearing an elegant white gown.
How did Mindy Kaling lose weight?
Mindy first opened up about her weight loss journey back in April 2022. Speaking about her transformation, she said: “Honestly, I didn’t really do anything differently. I eat what I like to eat. If I do any kind of restrictive diet, it never really works for me. I just eat less of it.”
Furthermore, Mindy confessed that she stopped seeing exercise as a punishment and finally started enjoying the whole process.
She stressed this in another interview as she noted: “I’ve tried really hard to let go of this idea of losing weight for vanity reasons and really trying to think of how I can be healthy. Healthy is working out, moving my body a lot, keeping hydrated, and then not having negative connotations around working out and making me feel like if I don’t do this, then I won’t be something else.”

Mindy’s white gown was by Vera Wang and was designed especially for her.
Speaking about the gown on her Instagram, she said: ” I asked her why she designed this dress in black and white for me and she said they embody “her fascination with the duality of both….. it’s the eternal attraction of opposites! It also conveys the modernity and sophistication and purity of both colors!”

“See?? She is the joyful artist of my dreams! As for me… well, I am that woman who, when I love a piece of clothing, I buy it in every color. Also, who knows if I am ever getting married, I am wearing as many Vera Wang gowns as I can!”

Mindy’s outfits and taste in fashion have changed over the years but there is no doubt that her 2023 Oscars gown was the showstopper.
