Micah Richards claims Sadio Mane was simply

Pundit Micah Richards believes Sadio Mane was ‘made for Liverpool’ amid recent controversy at Bayern Munich.

Bayern’s 3-0 thumping at Manchester City last week was bad enough.

Sacking Julian Nagelsmann for Thomas Tuchel didn’t exactly pay off as City swept Bayern aside.

It’s already a big ask for Bayern to come back from that 3-0 deficit, and that’s before going into the Mane controversy.

News emerged after the defeat to City that Mane had clashed with teammate Leroy Sane following the final whistle.

Mane allegedly punched Sane in the face as Bayern completely imploded following their 3-0 defeat.

Mane was fined and left out of Sunday’s draw with Hoffenheim as Bayern take a firm stance on the former Liverpool star.

Sadio Mane was ‘made for Liverpool’

Let’s be real – Mane’s move to Bayern has yet to really work out for anyone.

Mane wanted to leave Liverpool at the end of last season after six years at Anfield.

120 goals in 269 games for Liverpool was a superb record for Mane and he was absolutely vital for Jurgen Klopp’s approach.

The 31-year-old has only scored six league goals for Bayern though as injuries and now controversy have limited him.

Liverpool struck a deal worth around £35million for Mane but have really missed the Senegal star’s impact in the final third.

Liverpool just haven’t really been the same attacking threat without Mane and news of his fight with Sane has left some to wonder if he regrets leaving.

Pundit Micah Richards has now told the Daily Mail that he was ‘shocked’ to hear of Mane’s fight as he would never have expected that from him.

Richards claims that Mane was just made for Liverpool and the Reds were made for Mane, believing they are just perfect together.

Richards urged people not to judge Mane after his punch but feels the transfer just hasn’t worked out at all.

“How sad to read about the dressing room fight between Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane after Bayern Munich had lost at Manchester City last week,” said Richards. “I was shocked because Mane is one of the last players I would expect to be involved in such a situation.”

“Mane was made for Liverpool and Liverpool was made for Mane and the separation last summer hasn’t benefited either party. Don’t judge the Senegal star on this incident. It’s out of character and shows everyone is human,” he added.
