MEGHAN Trainor revealed that she thought she suffered a miscarriage mid-interview with Ryan Seacrest.
The 30-year-old singer appeared on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals and discussed the traumatic experience she underwent while pregnant with her second child, Barry.
Meghan is a mother to two children, Riley, who was born three years ago Barry, who she welcomed in July 2023.
The star married Spy Kids actor Daryl Sabara in 2018 in an intimate ceremony in the backyard of their Los Angeles mansion.
Meghan recalled her happiness at finding out she was pregnant with Barry.
“That morning I was, like, stoked, beaming of joy, I videotaped it. I did interviews and they were like, ‘How are you?’ and I said, ‘I’m thriving.’ I was so happy,” she gushed.
Meghan appeared to have a positive pregnancy, until it came to her last public appearance.
“And then, right before my last interview, I look down and I’m gushing blood,” she explained.
She added that she “Ruined a chair,” in the process.
Meghan described her immediate panic before the crew announced that Ryan was already out and pushed her out into the studio.
The star said she spent the whole interview worried that she was having a miscarriage and held back tears.
“I did that whole interview like, ‘don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry’ and then got through it. I shut the computer and was like, ‘Hey team I think I’m miscarrying right now.'”
“I went to the bathroom and saw what was happening, and I was like alright I had a baby this morning and now they’re gone.
“I was like I’m just gonna keep testing, and the pregnancy stick still said positive,” she continued.
ANOTHER SURPRISE?
Meghan rushed to the hospital as soon as she could for further testing.
“I got a blood test done, and it’s like the number is zero if you’re not pregnant. My number was 90,00.”
During her tests, she found another surprise that she had been pregnant far longer than she thought.
“At six weeks I went in and she goes, ‘Woah, that’s a 10-week-old baby.’ So I was pregnant ever since the Fallon performance,” Meghan revealed.
Meghan performed on the Jimmy Fallon show October 2022 before she realized she was pregnant.
CAREER MOVES
The star was promoting her album, Takin’ It Back, and performed Made You Look.
Meghan joked that she thought she was going through her normal cycle when she appeared on The Tonight Show.
“That day, I literally did a TikTok that was like, ‘When you get your period on Fallon,’
“And that was me implanting. I was making motherf**king life. I was making life during my sound check at Fallon.”
Meghan Trainor’s Family Life
Meghan Trainor has a tight-knit family unit despite her busy music career.
Meghan first met her husband in 2016 when they went on a date.
Daryl Sabrara, most known for this role on Spy Kids, described their meeting as “Love at first sight.”
“When you walked in the room, I was like, ‘Damn, she’s a dime,'” Daryl told People in 2020.
“It all happened when you first walked in the room on that double date and it was this ease just came over me, like there she is. I never knew that I would get married and then when I saw you, it just flashed before my eyes.”
The pair married in 2018 in the backyard of their Los Angeles home and have since welcomed two children, Riley and Barry.
“What a blessing,” Trainor told People in 2023 after she revealed her pregnancy with Barry.
“I’m just so grateful I can get pregnant. And I’m like, ‘I’m crushing it. This is amazing. This is my dream.’ I’m halfway there — I want four kids!”
Meghan has since been working hard on a new album, which is being released June 7.
The singer will also be embarking on her Timeless Tour later this year after a seven-year tour hiatus.
