She was married to the late radio executive and country singer Chester Smith. They worked together on their joint 2005 album, titled Captured by Love.

“In perspective, it’s not my first rodeo,” she continued. “Getting near 70 means being in the last half. I waited for the right time. Friends are happy for me.”

Murdoch and Smith plan to have a summer wedding and media buzz around Smith’s wedding gown is expected to be huge.
After the couple ties the knot, they said they will split their time between NYC, Montana, California, and the UK.
