Is Milo dead in the Mayor Of Kingstown season 2 finale? HITC investigates.
You know that feeling when you don’t want a great season of TV to end? Well, fans of Mayor Of Kingstown will find this feeling to be a more recent one than most viewers.
Created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, it was clear that this American crime thriller was in authoritative hands from the start and it’s been nothing short of captivating to chronicle Jeremy Renner‘s Mike McLusky navigating conflict and corruption with dire consequences.
Audiences were first welcomed to check out the series back in November 2021 on Paramount+, home of Taylor’s other wildly popular show Yellowstone.
Fans were thrilled to see Jeremy, Dianne Wiest, and others back for a second batch of installments in January 2023. However, the season finale rounded things off on Sunday March 19th, and has left some lingering questions to contemplate. Ultimately, none can be more pressing than this: Is Milo dead in Mayor Of Kingstown?
WARNING: MAJOR MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN SPOILERS

Is Milo dead in Mayor Of Kingstown season 2?
No, it’s teased that Milo is actually still alive during one of the concluding scenes of the Mayor Of Kingstown season 2 finale.
It’s established earlier in the season that Milo has Iris working for him as an escort at the club. Meanwhile, Mike has plans to crack down on Milo and they make plans to exchange bonds.
With Milo agreeing to let Iris go to get the bonds, they meet but things go awry and guns are pulled. On the other hand, the handoff does occur when the pair are on a boat but we see it explode in a sea of flames once Mike and Iris have already escaped.
While this initially seems to confirm Milo’s demise, an additional scene changes everything. Despite a phone call after the explosion between Milo and Tatiana potentially being a flashback, the nature of the conversation and Milo noting that everything went to plan all but confirms that he was one step ahead of Mike and precalculated his every move.
We all know the rules by now: If you don’t see the body, be suspicious. In the case of Milo, the phone call helps distinguish any lingering doubt about his fate. Faking his death, of sorts, nevertheless opens up complications for his role in a potential third season.

‘You forget that you’re watching a performance’
Series co-creator, Hugh, recently spoke to Cinemablend in praise of Aidan’s performance as Milo in the second season:
“Aidan is just so hugely talented, and he again, just is able to just find the humanity and, the honesty in every moment. From my point of view, and having co-created it, and I’m so close to it, it’s just like, ‘Oh my God, he’s so good’ and you forget that you’re watching a performance.”
He added: “And he’s exceptional this year, like we knew he would be.”
