The ever-credible Charles Watts has made a claim that Arsenal starlet Amario Cozier-Duberry could replace Reiss Nelson, if he ends up leaving the club.
Branded as a player with ‘amazing technique’ by Alex Iwobi, the latter’s contract at the Emirates Stadium expires in the summer.
It is worth noting that at the start of March, a report claimed that the Gunners had opened contract talks with Nelson, who himself was believed to be keen to prolong his time at the club.
But in the event that Reiss Nelson does end up leaving Arsenal, it has been stated that Amario Cozier-Duberry could emerge as his natural successor.
Amario Cozier-Duberry could replace Reiss Nelson at Arsenal
Arsenal correspondent Kaya Kaynak had analysed the 17-year-old’s talent, emphasising that he is rather similar to Bukayo Saka.
A natural wideman by trade, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, he is rated as one of the most promising young players at the Hale End academy.

As uncertainty grows around whether Reiss Nelson will commit his long-term future at Arsenal, GOAL journalist Charles Watts has suggested that Amario Cozier-Duberry could be earmarked as his replacement.
“If they can get him (Nelson) on a good deal, I can understand why they would do it. If him and his agent are demanding anything silly, then I think it’s definitely just sort of move on and spend money elsewhere and bring someone else into the squad”, he said on his YouTube channel.
“You also have Amario Cozier-Duberry coming through who is still very young but [Bukayo] Saka was very young when he came through and made his name and Arsenal do really rate Cozier-Duberry, so maybe that comes into the equation as well.”
Arsenal fans will be content regardless, as Reiss Nelson has become a bit of a cult hero this season with his late heroics off the bench but simultaneously, Amario Cozier-Duberry is seriously talented.
