Mashle: Magic and Muscles might be one of the more ridiculous series from the 2023 Spring broadcasting slate, but the A-1 Pictures adaptation has made an impressive start to its season 1 broadcast.

With an intriguing main character and storyline, coupled with a classic animation style; Mashle will undoubtedly go on to become one of the most popular anime from the new season.

Who performs the Mashle opening theme song?

The opening theme song for the Mashle: Magic and Muscles anime season 1 is called ‘Knock Out’ and is performed by Taiiku Okazaki.

Okazaki made his professional debut in 2016, but the Kyoto native has made a name for himself working with other musicians as a songwriter, as well as on television as a host and commercial actor with an energetic personality.

The singer would share a congratulatory comment to the Mashle anime website, letting his energetic side through: “My name is Tetsu Okazaki, and I will be singing the theme song for Mashr! Yay! Vooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Let’s Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!”

“This is my first time to sing the theme song for a Jump anime, so I was very excited and thrilled to sing it! I want to make a huge impact on the whole country of Japan, or even the whole world, by singing the song! Please look forward to the anime, the theme song, and everything in between!”

Who performs the Mashle ending theme song?

The ending theme song in season 1 of the Mashle: Magic and Muscles anime series is called ‘Cream Puff Funk’ and is performed by Philosophy no Dance.

Philosophy no Dance are a popular Idol group, consisting of five members from Japan. The group are known for their ‘funky grooves’ as well as their comical and unique dance routines.

Sharing their own celebratory comment to the Mashle website, Philosophy no Dance noted how “Just as Mash uses his muscles and power to fight magic, we use music and dance to compete!”

“The name of the song is “Cream Puff Funk,” and it is filled with the cream puffs that Mash loves so much! It has a funk flavor that makes you want to dance when you take a bite! After watching the anime, you too will want to eat cream puffs and dance, and you won’t be able to resist!”

The ‘Cream Puff Funk’ ending theme song has just been made available on the Philosophy no Dance YouTube channel; the ending sequence has just passed 200,000 views online.
