Fans fell for the April fools’ prank which had some convinced that Madonna was dead. However, in reality, she is alive and well in 2023.
Social media users have become a victim of death hoaxes quite often. Previously, celebrities such as Tom Holland, Oprah Winfrey, and more have encountered the same thing.
Something similar happened with Madonna whose death hoax was part of an April fools‘ prank.
Madonna is not dead
The news about Madonna being dead surfaced online after some users came across a video on TikTok.
The short clip had a picture of Madonna with “RIP Madonna 1958-2023” written on it. At the same time, the user alleged that the singer was found dead in a California hotel.
It did not take long for people to fall victim to the cruel hoax as they became worried about the singer.
What has the singer been up to?
Madonna has been paying no attention to what social media has been saying as the singer is busy living her best life. She often posts her music sessions on social media to share with her millions of followers.
However, on April 3, the singer shared her heartbreak after finding out that Seymour Stein had died. Seymour was an integral part of Madonna’s life.

In a tribute to him, the singer acknowledged how Seymour gave her the first chance to showcase her musical talent.
