You could be one of many lucky customers to get a free green donut at Krispy Kreme on St. Patrick’s Day in 2023 but on one condition.
Several food chains and restaurants are giving freebies on St. Patrick’s Day, which commemorates the arrival of the great saint in Ireland and also celebrates the Irish culture.
Krispy Kreme, which had previously unveiled heart-shaped donuts for Valentine’s Day, is back with more flavorful desserts for the latest national holiday.
Along with a free green O’riginal Glazed Donut, the coffee-house chain has also introduced four special flavors. Here’s everything we know about the festival deals.
Get a free green donut at Krispy Kreme on St. Patrick’s Day 2023
All the participating Krispy Kreme stores are giving away one free donut per customer on March 16 and 17.
However, to obtain the free green O’riginal Glazed Donuts specially made for St. Patrick’s Day, you must show up at the store wearing all green.
The offer is only valid in the shop and drive-thru in US and Canada. It also allows the staff to see if you’re in fact dressed in St. Patrick’s Day’s traditional color.
Meanwhile, you can also buy green donuts in a pack of 12. They are only available for two days.

New flavors introduced for the holiday
Krispy Kreme has introduced four new flavors for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.
- Golden Cookies & Kreme Donut – A filled donut shell is dipped in white icing and covered in golden cookie pieces and a gold sprinkle blend.
- Hat O’ Gold Donut – This chocolate iced donut is decorated with green icing pattern and topped with a leprechaun hat sugar piece.
- Golden Sprinkle donut – The O’riginal Glazed donuts are covered in green icing and topped with a gold St. Patrick’s Day sprinkle blend.
- Rainbow Kreme filled donut – The unglazed shell is filled with Kreme with green icing topping. It is decorated with a rainbow sugar piece, vanilla buttercream, and gold coin sprinkles.

If you’re not sure what to choose when you head to the store, go for Krispy Kreme’s Good As Gold Dozen.
The St. Patrick’s Day collection comes with three donuts in each of the above four flavors. The speciality dozens can also be ordered online or via the app.
