“As you can imagine, there was a lot going and there was some confusion around which door my team and I should enter,” the rapper told TMZ.

“We experienced an over-zealous security guard but my team and I have the upmost confidence that I will ultimately be cleared of all wrongdoing.”

A source close to the rapper told the outlet that they had run into an issue trying to enter the venue, however it is unclear whether they were re-entering, or coming in for the first time.

As the rapper and others were trying to figure out entry, they came across a security guard who allegedly gave them a hard time.

Killer Mike blew past the guard which caused the guard to chase after the rapper, ultimately arresting him.

Sources told the outlet that Mike and his team are confident that his name will be cleared once their account of the evening is told.

The artist was charged with a misdemeanor for battery, police said.

“On Sunday, February 4th just after 4 pm a male adult was detained & handcuffed for a physical altercation that occurred at the 700 block of Chick Hearn Court,” the LAPD said in a post on X.

“The suspect was placed under arrest and was transported to LAPD Central Division.

“The suspect has been identified as 48-year-old Michael Render and booked for Misdemeanor Battery 243(A) PC, and is in the process of being released.”
