Two-time NBA champion and two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant was recently traded headed of the deadline, leaving the Brooklyn Nets for the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns sent sent Mikal Bridges (who already has a new nickname), Cam Johnson and Jae Crowder and a bunch of future draft picks to the Nets in exchange for KD and T.J. Warren.
KD has been out for nearly two months
Every since the trade went down Suns fans have eagerly anticipating Durant’s first game. KD has bene out for nearly two months after suffering an MCL sprain on January 8. He was forced to miss the All-Star Game on 19 February despite being named an Eastern Conference starter.
The official injury was a sprained MCL in his right knee, according to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, which he sustained against the Miami Heat.

According to the Suns themselves, KD is indeed expected to make his Suns debut tonight, much to the delight of Phoenix fans.
‘Kevin Durant is expected to make his Phoenix Suns debut tomorrow in Charlotte,’ the team tweeted yesterday:
The Suns are 3-3 since the transfer deadline which saw them land Kevin Durant. The Suns are currently in the midst of a playoff push in a fiercely-contested Western Conference.
They are currently fourth out West with a 33-29 record, however, Durant’s return could see them finish a lot higher come the end of the season.

The Suns could potentially line-up tonight vs the Hornets with Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Torrey Craig, KD and Deandre Ayton – a formidable starting five if ever there was one.
Durant’s presence alone makes the Suns an automatic contender out West and a frightening proposition for any team. Of course, it may take a few games for the new-look Suns to find their rhythm and work KD into their offense properly.
KD has already spoken about gelling with his new team and ‘getting comfortable’ with everybody so they can perform optimally:
“Guys [have] been great at integrating me and all the sets and having a long practice so we can figure some stuff out, so it’s been fun,” Durant said ahead of the game. “I’m looking forward to … translating that over to the floor and see how we can keep building.”
