KELLY Clarkson has canceled the remainder of her Las Vegas residency shows due to a heartbreaking reason.
Taking to her Instagram stories on Thursday morning, Kelly shared some personal news as to why her shows in August will not be going ahead.
The singing sensation, 43, announced earlier this year that she would perform a multi-month residency at Caesars Palace in Sin City.
But just one month into the slew of shows, Kelly has been forced to postpone the rest of her concerts this month.
In the statement she shared, Kelly said, “Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas.
“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”
She went on to apologize to her dedicated fans, saying how she was sorry but thankful for their understanding.
‘I AM SINCERELY SORRY’
“I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding,” she concluded.
The country music icon shares two children with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
Getting married in 2013, the pair went on to welcomed their daughter River Rose and son Remington Alexander.
They split in 2020, with their divorce finalized in 2022.
As well as sharing the statement about her postponed shows on Instagram, Kelly also shared it on X.
Reacting the news, one fan on X said, “You and your family come first and true fans will understand.”
Another wrote, “Take care of your family first always! Prayers for your children’s father to be well!”
“Your babies concerns come first. We true Fans, friends will understand. Sometimes life will happen, no need to apologize. Sending prayers and lots of love. Family will always come first,” penned a third.
DISGRUNTLED FANS
But not everyone was kind about the news.
One person fumed, “What a joke to reschedule. At least cancel and issue refunds. Most people won’t know if they’re going to be able to attend 12 months from now. And what happens if you “postpone” again this time next year? We’re just supposed to live without our money forever?”
While another said, “You postpone so many shows it’s crazy. The excuse changes but it happens so often.”
According to Caesars Palace, fans with tickets to the postponed shows can hold onto them for newly announced 2026 dates.
They can also request a refund within 30 days.
MORE UNEXPECTED CANCELATIONS
Back in July, Kelly unexpectedly canceled her first live Vegas shows – just minutes before she was due to go on stage.
Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions – The Las Vegas Residency was due to kick of at the start of July.
The slew of shows promised to “bring the studio experience” to the stage.
But, with just an hour and a half until show time, she broke the bad news to fans that her first show would not be going ahead on the day she had planned.
Taking to Instagram, Kelly penned: “We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans.
“I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.”
Kelly said that both “prep and rehearsals” had “taken a toll” on her voice, and that she wanted “the shows to be perfect for y’all.”
The Because Of You singer added: “I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.
“The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong.”
She concluded the heartfelt post with: “I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show y’all what we’ve been working on.”
