Kanye, 46, is in talks with Alamo Records, according to TMZ.
The Yeezy founder reportedly wants to buy out Lil Durk, 31, so that they have the freedom to work together.
Sources claimed that Alamo records blocked a collaboration between the two for Kanye’s new music.
In a demo LP release for the rapper’s new song, Vultures, Lil Durk featured with his own verse.
For the streaming release, however, Alamo Records CEO Todd Moscowitz reportedly withheld permission for his client’s verse to be included.
As a result, Kanye seems set to “buy out” Lil Durk so that the collab can continue; although who he’ll sign with if his contract is ended remains unclear.
Despite the drama, Lil Durk and Kanye performed together along with Ty Dolla $ign.
The trio took to the stage during Kanye’s trip to Dubai, and performed the controversial song Vultures.
BACK TOGETHER?
While Kanye made waves on stage in Dubai, off-stage he also reunited with his wife, Bianca Censori, 28.
The duo was spotted together in Dubai last week after she spent time away with her family in Melbourne.

They were spotted dancing and laughing together at a venue where Chris Brown was hosting a party.
The couple also went for dinner at Nobu By The Beach restaurant in Dubai.
Just days earlier, Kanye had been seen without his wedding ring in Dubai amid reports he was on a break from Bianca.
The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed that Bianca and Kanye were taking time apart just 11 months after getting married.
‘ALL ABOUT YE’
Despite the couple’s apparent reunion, Bianca’s family has reportedly been begging for her to leave Kanye.
An insider claimed: “Her family has never been a fan of Ye, and those close to her have questioned whether marrying him was the right decision.
“Kanye said they’ve been taking a breather since mid-October and his only focus right now is the music. He’s really keen to get this new record out with Ty Dollar $ign.
“He is a very difficult person to be around and work for, and Bianca has been one of the most patient people ever to deal with him. She’s been all about Ye.”
The source continued: “He has been a lot happier and more focused with her around, but I think the relationship has taken its toll on her a bit, with everyone having their opinion.
“She may go back to him for the album launch. She loves the lifestyle, but I think it’s clear her family and friends would rather she didn’t.
“Honestly, it seems he’s not that worried about it and is just all about the music at the minute.”
