Kanye West applies for almost 200 new trademarks including ‘Yeezy Pods’ and ‘Drome’ as he attempts career comeback

KANYE West has applied for almost 200 new trademarks for everything from new shoes to electronics amid his desperate attempt at a career comeback.

The rapper – who shocked yet again with a blistering hate-filled rant at his album listening party in Las Vegas on Thursday – isn’t just sticking to music.

In a matter of weeks, he’s announced the release of his next record Vultures with Ty Dolla $ign, and launched his own bizarre Yews News bulletin website.

And now The U.S. Sun can reveal he’s applied for the exclusive use of the words “Yeezy Pods,” “Shocks,” “Yzy Pods,” and “Yzy,” under clothing and electronics.

On Friday, he revealed that Yeezy Pods are not earphones similar to Apple and Dr Dre’s accessories, but a style of knee-high sock shoe.

“The long-awaited YZY PODS, announced last night, are available for pre-order for $200,” the site reports.

The source for the news story then directs fans to a supply website for his fashion brand and shows a black shoe sock graphic rotating available in three sizes.

Vulture pants, t-shirts, and shorts are also available on the site for hundreds of dollars, along with the album for pre-order on either CD or vinyl.

Kanye also applied for the word “Villa” under investments, but then it gets a little strange.

SECRET COMPANY

The hitmake has applied to trademark the words “Villadome” and “Drome” under 27 classifications such as clothing, electronics, cosmetics, toys, jewelry, restaurants, and alcohol.

There are also filings across medical equipment like face masks and textiles such as curtains, building materials, metals, and even legal services, showing he’s planning to rebuild his empire.

He’s made filings across the same areas but for misspellings of “Villadrome” and “Drome”.

The words are “Villadrome,” “Villadram”, “Droam,” “Villadroam,” and “Villadraom.”

All these applications were made to the US Patent and Trademark Office in October and November.

In July, he also applied for “Soft Life” under cooking and catering.

All of these are through the firm Ox Paha LLC, which also purchased his Yeezy HQ on Melrose Ave, Los Angeles.

It remains to be seen how sales of his new merchandise will perform, while his warehouse has been mostly empty in recent months with only a few people on sewing machines seen at the venue.

A source told The U.S. Sun Kanye has been making some clothing as a separate factory after putting Jewish American Apparel founder Dov Charney in charge.

NEW DESIGNER

Not one to shy away from controversy, he has also hired designer Gosha Rubchinskiy as his Head of Design at Yeezy, a man with a past of his own.

The 39-year-old Russian fashion veteran was once accused of sending inappropriate texts to a 16-year-old boy.

The teen shared screenshots of their alleged exchanges on social media, in which a person claiming to be Gosha asked him for photographs of the boy.

Gosha has his fashion label, founded in 2008, and has worked with brands like Burberry, Dr. Martens, and Levi’s.

He also collaborated with Adidas on a 2018 clothing collection inspired by the World Cup.

Gosha’s team firmly denied the allegations, claiming the exchange was not sexual and “happens all the time” in street casting.

“Gosha did a Facetime with him and then he asked for a photo to have on file with all the others,” they said in a statement.

“The person said he wasn’t alone and couldn’t take a photo so Gosha suggested he just quickly go to the bathroom and take a quick photo in the mirror, so he could show the rest of the team and have it on file.”

They argued the screenshots had been altered and taken out of context to make Gosha look bad.
