JUSTIN Trudeau was seen dancing at Katy Perry’s concert after their ‘cozy date night’ this month, but the pop star’s friends are allegedly wary of their new ‘flirty friendship’.
Perry, who is single after recently splitting from her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, is on tour in Canada and had dinner with divorced Trudeau on Monday evening.
Trudeau was seen beaming in photos published by TMZ as he chatted to Perry while dining at Le Violon restaurant in Montreal.
Eyewitnesses revealed it wasn’t just a quick dinner with a friend, as they started their evening with a 90-minute walk around Mount Royal Park with Perry’s dog, Nugget, according to ET.
They then headed for dinner before stopping at Tavern Atlantic for a nightcap, where Trudeau ordered a whiskey and Perry sipped on whiskey, the outlet also reported.
On Wednesday night, fans then caught Trudeau in the crowd singing and dancing at Perry’s concert at the Bell Centre as part of her Lifetimes Tour, fueling further romance buzz.
They seem to be thoroughly enjoying each other’s company, but the singer’s friends have heard he’s popular with the ladies and are protective of Perry.
“Katy’s friends want her to have fun after her split from Orlando, but she’s still very much grieving the end of their relationship and the fact that she never made it down the aisle,” an insider told The U.S. Sun.
“They don’t want her to rush into something serious, and have heard Justin has a bit of a reputation as a womanizer, and that he loves the fame game.
“It is still a very new flirty friendship, but friends are hoping she takes it slow with the next person and chooses a man who loves her for her.”
A second source also previously told The U.S. Sun, “They have been wanting to have dinner for a while now, and he asked her if they could do it in Montreal, and she agreed to do so very quickly.
“He isn’t shy about his romantic life, and he took her on a date, and he was very, very excited to do so, and kept talking about it in the last few days.
“Justin isn’t a guy who is easy to ‘catch’ and he has been having a lot of women trying to date him since he separated from his wife.
“He is someone that has some particular preferences, and he enjoys people who are genuinely nice and that see life in their own way.
“Katy has her own ‘world’ and she is someone who is an extrovert, and she loves to talk about many different topics, and he really loves that.”

The insider added that he is “not scared of her being a superstar” as he is used to the spotlight.
Trudeau separated from Sophie, his wife of 18 years, in 2023, and they share three children: Xavier, 17 · Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.
When they announced the split, the former prime minister of Canada, wrote on Instagram, “Sophie and I would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate.”

Although Trudeau has not been seen publicly with any other women since his split from his wife, the source told The U.S. Sun he has had a “healthy dating life,” and is enjoying being a bachelor.
