Thomas Tuchel now wants to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham after replacing Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich.
What’s the story?
Well – according to Kicker – the German was actually speaking to Spurs about replacing Antonio Conte, but he could now pinch Tottenham‘s talisman after deciding to join Bayern Munich instead.
Christian Falk believes Tuchel is keen to sign Kane as he aims to make an impact at the Allianz Arena, with the likes of Sadio Mane and Serge Gnabry struggling.
The respected journalist told Caught Offside: “Tuchel will have one shot – that could be an expensive one. This could now be Harry Kane. When a new manager is coming in, of course, there’s the likelihood of players going out in addition to coming in.
“He wants a lot of players, so they have to get money in. Ultimately, the chance to get Kane in is bigger now that Tuchel has joined the club and I think there will be something in the summer now.”

The 29-year-old England international has once again been in superb form this season, scoring 23 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions for Tottenham.

Kane also netted his 54th goal for England on Thursday to become the nation’s all-time top goalscorer.
How much Tuchel must give Tottenham to lure Kane to Bayern Munich
If Tuchel wants Kane at Bayern Munich, it will probably cost the German his entire summer transfer budget.
David Ornstein recently told the FIVE YouTube channel that Daniel Levy will only sell the Tottenham No.10 for a new British transfer record.
As things stand, that is the £106.8m Chelsea spent on Enzo Fernandez back in January.
Therefore, if Tuchel really does want Kane, he will have to smash Bayern Munich’s transfer record – the £68m spent on Lucas Hernandez in 2019 – as well as the British transfer record.
