JON Gosselin has hit out at Kate after she went to court to try and obtain back child support she claims her ex-husband still owes her.
Jon, 46, accused ex Kate Gosselin, 48, of “trying to drag him back into the past” after she launched an appeal against a Pennsylvania judge’s ruling to strike the original judgment she filed against Jon.
The original judgment is for child support of $132,875, and was first filed by Kate back in March 2018, before a judge dismissed it in November last year.
Jon’s legal team argues that Jon does not owe the money because he was awarded custody of Hannah and Collin, breaking an agreement they made – however lawyers for Kate dispute this.
“So this thing has already been quashed by judges and she still won’t let it go,” Jon told The U.S. Sun.
“My hands are tied, there’s not much more I can do, I’m done hiring lawyers. I’ve spent every last penny. I work just to protect myself from her.
“I have moved on in my life but apparently Kate’s stuck in the past. She’s still back in 2009.”
Jon has previously revealed he is happier than ever after finding love with girlfriend Stephanie Lebo and has said he is done with trying to fight Kate after their acrimonious 2009 divorce.
He alleges that his ex tried to sabotage any opportunities he was offered and that he was forced to work three jobs to pay his child support for his eight kids, who are now all adults.
He continued, “I’ve been moving on – I’ve said this so many times – and she keeps dragging me back to 2009.”
“Honestly I want to say to her: ‘Hey Kate, 2009 called, they want Jon back’.
“Kate took every ability for me to earn money away. Years ago I got offered a $250,000 job to be an on-the-spot reporter for E! News. I got told if I took it, I’d be sued for breaching my TLC contract. So I couldn’t earn money but Kate continually upped the child support.
“If I tried to do something on TV they’d quash it. If I tried to do something to better my life in the private sector, Kate would come after me with TLC’s lawyers, and quash me there.
“They’d tried every way to throw me under the bus. I had to work three jobs just to pay the child support.
“Kate said my DJing was a front for my drug dealing. I have never touched drugs. Everybody who knows me knows that. It’s ridiculous, but she still lied to try and ruin my DJing career.”
Jon, who is now a full-time DJ, said music helped him get through the difficult times during his divorce.
TRYING TO RECONCILE
In December, a source told The U.S. Sun that he is open to reconciling with his estranged children twins Mady and Cara, 22, and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Joel, and Leah, 19,
While Hannah and Collin, also 19, chose to live with their father, the twins and remaining sextuplets opted to be in their mother’s care and have barely had any contact with Jon over the years.
But a source said the chances of Jon getting to see them are “better than ever now” now that they have all moved to their respective colleges.
The U.S. Sun reached out to lawyers and reps for Kate for comment.
A lawyer for Kate claimed that Jon has never paid the $125,000 that he reportedly agreed in court that he owed.
“Right now, it has been stricken by the lower court, but the case is not over whatsoever,” lawyer Richard Puleo said of the back child support case.
