Pundit Simon Jordan simply does not see former Tottenham Hotspur manager Maurico Pochettino being a success if he joins Chelsea.
The Times reported on Wednesday claiming that the Argentine was on the Blues’ four-man shortlist to replace Graham Potter in the summer.
But pundit Simon Jordan has said that he cannot see how Mauricio Pochettino ends up faring well as the next Chelsea manager.
Pundit Simon Jordan criticises Pochettino as Chelsea manager links
While it is acknowledged amongst a majority of fans and pundits alike that the ex-PSG boss did a remarkable job at Tottenham, his failure to win a trophy has meant he has been labelled as a ‘serial loser.’
Considering Pochettino’s spell in Paris was undeniably underwhelming as well has not helped him shed this unfortunate tag.

Pundit Simon Jordan clearly sits in the camp of sceptics that do not see Mauricio Pochettino as a winner, which is why he foresees him not being the right fit to become the next Chelsea manager.
“I’ve never believed that Pochettino has the winning gene. I think he’s a really good manager, I think he’ll get you to a certain level”, he said on talkSPORT. “But, there’s something about Pochettino that just tells me he doesn’t have this ruthless streak that someone like [Thomas] Tuchel had and someone like obviously the great Alex Ferguson had and [Jose] Mourinho has. This inability to see anything other than just winning at all costs.”
“But the point is, I don’t want to see a manager crying on the touchline when you won the Champions League semi-final, I want to see you win. A good fight is not one you put up, it’s one you win, and I want my managers to win! I don’t want to see crying on the side.”
In any case, Tottenham fans will hope that their club legend in Pochettino tries to debunk this theory posed by pundit Simon Jordan by returning to the N17 rather than becoming the Chelsea manager to do so.
