Jamie Redknapp has said that Arsenal showed in their 1-0 win against Leicester City that their intention is to keep putting the pressure on Manchester City.
Of course, Pep Guardiola’s side responded to the expectation of getting a victory against Bournemouth in style with a 4-0 victory.
However, Jamie Redknapp has said that Arsenal are proving that will continue to do their bit, which is to win their games, as they did against Leicester on a challenging day at the King Power Stadium.
Jamie Redknapp says Arsenal are putting the pressure on Manchester City after Leicester win
Despite Leandro Trossard’s goal being chalked off and perhaps being unfairly not been given a penalty after the foul on Bukayo Saka, both aspects that Paul Merson gave his thoughts on, the Gunners showcased their resilience after a ‘Henry-style’ winner for Gabriel Martinelli.
On Sky Sports, as shared by Football Daily, Jamie Redknapp was seriously impressed by how Arsenal were piling on the pressure on their title rivals after their win against Leicester.

“It’s a big result for them, especially last week [against Aston Villa]. After losing to [Manchester] City, to score 2 goals in injury time against Villa and then another win today at Leicester.”

“It shows you they’re not going anywhere and they’re putting the pressure right on Man City.”
Arsenal are the real deal
It goes without saying but one should doubt Mikel Arteta’s side at their own peril.
As Gabriel Martinelli said after the game, the Arsenal boss’ message was to win the game against Leicester, regardless of how they managed to do, which seemingly impressed Jamie Redknapp as well.
While there is no denying the juggernaut is that is Manchester City, the same can be said for their title rivals this campaign, who intend to take the battle for glory right down to the wire.
