Alan Brazil has stated that he has been proven ‘wrong’ about Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, as the radio presenter told talkSPORT (01/03/23).
The 30-year-old has been on quite the rollercoaster during his time at Arsenal. From being captain, stripped of that role, stunning long-range goals, leadership qualities and reckless sending-offs.
Granit Xhaka has been through it all and many question how he has survived it all.

The player himself and Mikel Arteta deserve credit for that because when he was stripped as captain when Unai Emery was in charge, he was at his lowest ever.
But fast forward to the present and the remarkable scenario of Xhaka becoming a title winner and Arsenal legend might be on the cards.
Former Manchester United and Scotland striker Alan Brazil shared his thoughts on the hard-hitting player and how he has improved.
“Xhaka could be moved on (down the line),” said Brazil. “By the way, he has done well this year. I was saying ‘is he good enough for the top flight?’

“I really wasn’t sure, then watching him and I am thinking ‘maybe I have got this wrong’. He’s in there and he’s a leader in there as well.”

XHAKA THE CAPTAIN WITHOUT THE ARMBAND
Martin Odegaard dons that role for Arsenal, after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was provided with the same treatment as Xhaka last season.
But many believe that Xhaka is the captain without the armband and his off-field qualities are invaluable to the team.
During Arsenal’s All or Nothing documentary, he was one who came out in a very good light because of how he is around the dressing, at half-time and with the youngsters.
