Action cinema earned an eternal screen icon in 2014 with the release of John Wick, a gun-fu-infused tale of revenge.
Fortunately, a franchise took flight and Keanu Reeves has returned again and again to reprise the titular role of the hitman out of retirement to leave a trail of bodies in his wake. Now, we have John Wick: Chapter 4, directed by Chad Stahelski.
A handful of big names have dropped in to help shake up the series so far, perhaps most notably with Halle Berry as Sofia Al-Azwar in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
However, the fans will be desperate to learn whether we can expect John to fight back-to-back with Sofia again. So, is Halle Berry in John Wick: Chapter 4 as Sofia Al-Azwar?

Halle doesn’t reprise the role of Sofia in John Wick: Chapter 4 but there are a handful of exciting new additions to the franchise to look forward to.
Looking back, the 56-year-old American actress confirmed that she wouldn’t be in the fourth installment during an interview with IGN:
“Sofia’s not in the next John Wick movie. There could possibly be a Sofia… her own movie. So she might not be in John Wick, but she might be doing her own thingy-thingy.”

There hasn’t been a spin-off or official confirmation since this was reported in February 2022. However, there’s still potential for it to be announced.
On the other hand, newcomers to the franchise for Chapter 4 include Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, and Rina Sawayama.

‘You have to see how the audience responds’
Keanu was recently asked if a fifth chapter is locked in and opened up about uncertainty during a conversation with Total Film [per GamesRadar].
“You have to see how the audience responds to what we did,” he explained.
“The only reason we’ve had a chance to make these movies is that people have liked what we have done. So I think we have to wait and see how the audience responds to it. Hopefully they’ll like it.”
John Wick: Chapter 4 is in theaters from Friday, March 24th 2023.
