Jamie Carragher has said that Marcus Rashford is still not remotely close to Mohamed Salah, despite arguably being the most in-form player in Europe currently.
While the £200,000-a-week winger looked to be redeeming himself during the first half of the season in Manchester United colours again, he has been virtually unplayable since the World Cup. As for the ‘world-class’ £34 million (Sky Sports) man, he has not been at his brilliant best this campaign.
Despite there being no argument that Mohamed Salah has managed to outplay Marcus Rashford this campaign in either part of the season, Jamie Carragher has still given the former the edge while comparing the two.
Carragher says Rashford is still not better than Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian wideman has been widely slammed for his underwhelming displays by ex-players such as Paul Merson, Jose Enrique and Gary Neville, as he has been in rather disappointing touch since the Africa Cup of Nations.
But in his column for the Telegraph, Jamie Carragher said that Marcus Rashford still has a way to go before being outrightly better than Mohamed Salah, writing, “He has always been a level below Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane when he was at Liverpool in my eyes.”

“If he reproduces this form season after season, he will deserve to be called world-class.”
In our view: Carragher is spot on
Sure, on form, not a single winger in the Premier League can claim to have the upper hand on the England international.
But quite often, fans and pundits alike tend to become prisoners of the moment and forget what a great of the game has done in the past, which Jamie Carragher has not managed to do when comparing Marcus Rashford to Mohamed Salah.
While the former is currently superior to Salah only time will tell whether he can maintain his scintillating form and whether the Liverpool legend return to his brilliant best, which is not bettered by many players in world football.
