Tottenham Hotspur linked with Julian Nagelsmann

Tottenham Hotspur may have just received a significant boost in their pursuit of Julian Nagelsmann.

That is, if Dean Jones’ recent comments on the Spurs managerial target are anything to go by.

The transfer insider has told GiveMeSport that Nagelsmann would be “very interested” in joining Tottenham.

Indeed, the German has “always” looked at Spurs as a “solid” club that’d be “perfect” to build a project.

Tottenham are currently on the lookout for a new permanent manager after parting company with Antonio Conte.

The Italian left last week by mutual consent in wake of his explosive post-Southampton press conference.

Meanwhile, Nagelsmann is out of work after Bayern Munich controversially sacked him last week.

Since the German’s dismissal, speculation linking him with Tottenham has intensified considerably.

And Jones has suggested that Nagelsmann would really fancy the Spurs job.

“I think Nagelsmann is going to have a big decision to make,” he told GiveMeSport.

“I’m told he’s always looked at Tottenham as a solid club that would be a perfect place to build a platform.

“I don’t think he would have expected to end up at Bayern Munich as early as he did in his career.

“Tottenham is that level of a club that’s just below the very elite.

“And I think because he can build a project there, he’d still be very interested in joining.”

Great report on great candidate

That’s just what Spurs fans would’ve liked to hear about Nagelsmann.

Out of all the candidates, he’s arguably the best for Tottenham at this moment in time.

He’s a young, talented and smart manager who likes a project and looks like he’d like to grow alongside a club.

That was very much the case when Spurs snapped Mauricio Pochettino up from Southampton back in 2014.

At the time, he was a promising manager doing well in his first Premier League job at a modest club.

Meanwhile, Nagelsmann is a promising manager who was doing well with Bayern, who somehow still sacked him.

Spurs really out to make the most of the opportunity and go all out to snap the “top manager” up.
