Tim Sherwood has suggested that Manchester City hitman Erling Haaland can learn to improve his heading ability from Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
On Saturday, Kane netted a brace as Antonio Conte’s under-fire Spurs beat Nottingham Forest 3-1, with Kane opening the scoring with a ‘fantastic’ header.
That was the England captain’s 19th and 20th goals of the 2022/23 Premier League season, but Haaland pushed further ahead by scoring number 28 against Crystal Palace hours later.

It came via the penalty spot for the £51 million summer signing (Sky Sports), although, he did have better options from open play and didn’t manage to convert.
Despite being a physical presence, one area of weakness you can pick out about Haaland is what he does in the air and that was touched upon by former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood, as he told MatchDay Extra on Premier League Productions (11/03/23 at 8:30 pm).
“It was a great header (from Kane),” says Sherwood. “A fantastic header. We saw Erling Haaland struggling with his heading against Crystal Palace.
“I think if he practises like Kane does over the years (then he will get better).”

KANE VS HAALAND
Unless Tottenham’s main man goes on a complete and utter madness, the Golden Boot award is heading in Haaland’s direction.
It is just a case of what records he will break.
Haaland will and should surpass the 30 mark, it’s just a case of whether he will go beyond 40 goals?!
Added to that, Kane will also be hoping to go beyond 30 himself, which is more than possible given that Spurs have 11 games remaining and they are no longer in any other competitions from now until the cut-off point.
