Tottenham Hotspur target Emiliano Martinez has spoken out about his future at Aston Villa.
The World Cup winner, described as ‘world-class’ by BBC pundit Garth Crooks has been linked with a switch to Spurs for ages, with a recent report claiming that Antonio Conte’s side were planning to make their first offer to sign him in the coming weeks.
Now, Emiliano Martinez himself has told the Sun about whether he decides to leave Aston Villa amid his links to Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham Emiliano Martinez speaks out about Aston Villa future
With the currently injured Hugo Lloris enduring a nightmarish season for the London-based side, many strongly believe that it is high time that a successor such as the £20 million man (Guardian) comes in for him in the summer.
Considering Aston Villa No.1 Emiliano Martinez has been one of the names touted to do so if Tottenham try to snap him up, he has provided some clarity about his transfer situation.

“My career has accelerated since I joined the club. I have always said that I am grateful to this club and that I love being there. My family is happy here, my son is obsessed with football and he plays for the under 6s at the academy. We love our experience here and hope it will last for many more years”, he said.
Mission Martinez may be over and done with
As Unai Emery has had a transformative impact as Aston Villa boss since his arrival, perhaps Emiliano Martinez is having second thoughts about joining Tottenham or any interested party for that matter.
Ultimately, that is not Spurs’ problem and their aim should not divert from bringing in a less error-prone shotstopper than Lloris, who can also play out from the back.
While Martinez could have proven to be a potential solution, the Lilywhites must stay focused in their pursuit to improve a problem area of the pitch.
