The Instagram account belong to a woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann has been deleted after gaining over a million followers.
A Polish girl called Julia took over the internet after asking for a DNA test to prove she was the missing British toddler.
Madeleine McCann vanished whilst on holiday with her parents in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on the evening of May 3, 2007.
She was in their holiday apartment where she had been left with her twin siblings while their parents ate at a local restaurant.
It’s one of the most reported missing person cases ever and hit headlines again in February thanks to the Instagram user – who has disappeared.

Madeleine McCann Instagram account deleted
An Instagram account with the handle ‘I am Madeleine McCann’ appeared on February 14 and quickly racked up hundreds of thousands of followers.
“I think I can be Madeleine. I need DNA test. Police investigators from UK and Poland try to ignore me. I will tell my story in posts here,” the bio said.
The woman, who called herself Julia, began posting ‘evidence’ that she was the missing three-year-old and claimed they had a strong resemblance.
She showed they had moles in the same places, similar facial features and even the same prominent mark in their eyes.
Julia also alleged she had memories that matched up to the Madeleine McCann case, but the account suddenly disappeared on Thursday (March 2).
When you try and visit the profile, it says “user not found,” an error that often occurs when an Instagram account has been deleted.
“Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed,” another message says.
Right now, it’s not clear why the account has disappeared, but the news is going viral on TikTok.

Julia closed Facebook and Twitter accounts
This comes a week after the girl claiming to be Madeleine McCann deleted her Facebook and TikTok accounts so people couldn’t “make fun” of her.
“If you don’t like me, please unfollow. I don’t want fans or followers,” she wrote on Instagram. “I closed my Facebook account and TikTok so people can’t make fun of me.”
“I deleted my Facebook and TikTok today so no one could hurt me and my only person that didn’t sleep for days for me,” she added in another post shared by the Daily Star.
Julia was referring to Dr Fia Johansson, a private detective and psychic who had flown to Poland to help her with her case.
However, many have been sceptical of the woman’s integrity from the beginning as Julia goes by three different names.
She claimed a DNA test was confirmed
More than a week ago, the Polish woman claimed that Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann had agreed to do a DNA test.
“I talked with someone from Madeleine’s family and I will have a possibility to talk with Madeleine’s parents tomorrow and DNA test will be done soon,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
Her bio also changed to “Thank you for support! Kate and Gerry McCann agreed for DNA test!” – but there is still no sign of any results.
In the latest update, Fia Johansson said they has been working hard and had “lots to reveal” – but little more was said before the account disappeared.
“We are doing everything we can to find out the truth of Julia’s background and find out her real identity. It has been a very challenging investigation for me and my team,” the psychic told The Sun.
However, for now, Madeleine McCann has not been found and the case still remains a mystery almost 16 years on.
