Antonio Conte sacked by Tottenham has began to trend as many Spurs fans are eager to see the 53-year-old depart.
The Italian oversaw a pathetic performance on Wednesday evening as Tottenham crashed out of the Champions League following a 0-0 draw against AC Milan, which resulted in a 1-0 aggregate loss.
Conte admitted after the 0-0 draw that Tottenham could sack him as speculation about his future intensifies.
Conte told Amazon Prime Video: “I have a contract about to expire so let’s see how the season ends. Maybe they can send me away even earlier, perhaps the expectations were higher and maybe I disappointed.”
If Daniel Levy does decide to hand the Italian his P45 after the 0-0 draw, let’s see how much it would cost.
How much it would cost if Conte is sacked by Tottenham
Well, Levy will probably just wait until Conte’s contract expires in July, as it would not be cheap to sack him.
According to Jack Pitt-Brooke of The Athletic, Spurs would have to pay the Italian a sum in the region of £4m – £5m if they decide to fire him, as that is the outstanding amount left on his contract in terms of wages.

I think the compensation due to Conte would be the outstanding salary on his contract, so in this case probably between £4m and £5m. So not a huge amount.

Conte is said to earn £15m-a-year in N17.
In the modern era of football, an amount in the rough area of £4m – £5m is not huge, although Levy is known to be quite a stingy operator, so we highly doubt he will pay that when Conte’s contract expires in a few months anyway.
However, there are plenty of reasons to sack him now.
For a start, missing out on Champions League football would cost Tottenham a lot more than the £4m – £5m it will take to fire Conte.
Those who reach the Champions League Group Stage receive £13.5m – according to the Mirror – while each Group Stage win is worth over £2m.

Last season, finishing fourth in the Premier League was also worth £151.7m in prize money – again according to the Mirror – so a maximum cost of £5m really doesn’t seem like much to sack Conte in that respect.
In our view, it would also be worth doing so whoever replaces the Italian can gain a strong understand of their squad before making decisions about who needs to be replaced in the summer.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Conte could soon be leaving Tottenham.
