‘How he’s evolving’: Arteta has news for Arsenal fans about ‘incredible’ ace

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that he is pleased with how Gabriel Jesus is recovering from his injury, as quoted in Football.London.

Arteta has said that Jesus is still not very close to making a return to action for Arsenal.

However, the Arsenal boss has stated that it will not be long before the Brazil international striker does make his comeback.

Arteta is not putting a timeframe on Jesus’s full recovery from injury, but the Arsenal boss seems optimistic that the former Manchester City star will be back sooner rather than later.

Jesus has been on the sidelines since suffering an injury while playing for Brazil at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The striker joined Arsenal from defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer of 2022.

Mikel Arteta on Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus

Arteta said about Jesus: “He’s not far now. I don’t want to give a timeline but he’s doing certain things with the team and certain things outside the team.

“He’s not very close but he’s not very far. The doctors are feeling confident with how he’s evolving

“It’s been pretty straightforward. At the beginning we were pretty concerned and thankfully it wasn’t that bad.

“Gabi has been through that before, his mentality is incredible and the team has done a really good job with him.”

Encouraging

Now, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is clearly not giving a timeframe on Gabriel Jesus’s long-awaited comeback.

However, it seems that the Gunners boss is confident of having the striker in his squad sooner rather than later.

After all, if the striker was going to be out for longer than anticipated, then Arteta would have said so.

Arsenal have done well in the absence of Jesus and are still at the top of the Premier League table.

Just imagine how much better and more potent Arsenal will be in attack when the Brazilian is fully fit and back in action.
