Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been caught on camera flying into a studs-up lunge on Romaine Mundle during Tottenham training.
What’s the story?
Well, this was very reckless from the £15m Tottenham man, to say the least.
Spurs released footage earlier this week capturing behind-the-scenes action from Hotspur Way, as Cristian Stellini prepares his side for their trip to Everton on Monday.
In the video, Hojbjerg can be seen sliding in on Mundle in what is a pretty strong tackle.
Fortunately, the 19-year-old Spurs prospect is nimble enough to slide the ball away from the Denmark international and also hurdle his challenge.
Nevertheless, it was not the type of tackle Tottenham fans will like to see going on in training, to say the least.
You can see footage of the moment below.
Mundle would have been entitled to stop and ask questions of his teammate after he flew towards him with his studs up in the air – to his credit, he simply got on with it after showing quick feet to evade the Dane.
Romaine Mundle could make Tottenham debut soon
In our view, the teenager could soon make his Tottenham debut.
Mundle was named on the bench for the recent 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest in Premier League action, and seems to be getting closer to first-team action as he now regularly takes part in senior training.
Therefore, if Tottenham find themselves coasting during a game under Stellini and Ryan Mason, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the teenager given an opportunity from the bench.

In truth, Spurs would probably be wise to give him some game time, as the exciting winger’s contract expires in June, and he is receiving interest from Eintracht Frankfurt as well as Köln in Germany – according to Fabrizio Romano.
Hopefully, Mundle does get a chance to shine at some point before the season is over.
