Adam Crafton has suggested that Brendan Rodgers’ next managerial job could be at West Ham United or Leeds United after his sacking from Leicester City.
The 50-year-old was recently sacked by Leicester, who are sitting in the Premier League’s relegation zone, and battling the likes of West Ham United and Leeds United for a place in England’s top-flight next season.
Despite Brendan Rodgers getting booted out by a team near the bottom, the Athletic journalist Adam Crafton thinks he would ‘walk into the job at West Ham’, which is currently occupied by the under-fire David Moyes, and the same for Leeds, who recently appointed Javi Gracia.

During Rodgers’ career on the touchline, he helped Swansea earn promotion to the Premier League over ten years ago by playing some enthralling football.
Before missing out on the Premier League title by inches with Liverpool, he utterly dominated at Celtic and then helped Leicester City win the FA Cup, including trips to Europe.
All or any of those would be welcome at the London Stadium or Elland Road, as Chris Sutton questioned why Leeds would part ways with Gracia in the summer given that they have just appointed him when Adam Crafton made his point, as they told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
“Even if he doesn’t get the Tottenham job,” said Crafton. “I would look at the table and think ‘he would walk into West Ham. He could walk into Leeds in the summer’.
“I have wondered, he has spoken about a desire to work abroad. I think this might be a good time for him to do that if there is a good option for him in Spain. I think he speaks some Spanish as well.

“Also, I think if Gareth Southgate were to leave England in 2024, then he would be a really good option for England, so it is a weird dynamic (given that he’s been sacked by a team near the bottom), but I think it’s a respect for what he has achieved.”
Chris Sutton responded: “Is Gracia leaving Leeds in the summer, then? What’s going on there?”
Crafton then added: “It depends on what happens, I wouldn’t be surprised if Leeds look at something else in the summer if they narrowly survive. It didn’t strike me as a long-term appointment. I might be wrong about that.”

WHAT NEXT FOR RODGERS?
The Northern Irishman’s reputation has taken a bit of a hit, but it seems as though some of his past success might work in his favour.
There are some big jobs available in English football, and come the summer, more might open up, with Rodgers being tipped for either Tottenham or Chelsea, on top of West Ham and Leeds United.
The gig at West Ham is an interesting one because, even if the Hammers survive, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they part ways with Moyes and push for a name like Rodgers.
