Gabby Agbonlahor has said that he has question marks over whether Tottenham Hotspur are still keen on appointing Mauricio Pochettino as their next manager.
Journalist Dean Jones told GiveMeSport said on Saturday that apart from Julian Nagelsmann, the other two names in the reckoning for the job are Luis Enrique and the Argentine boss.
However, it seems Gabby Agbonlahor is simply not buying it, as he explains his doubts over whether Tottenham Hotspur will even try to bring Mauricio Pochettino in as their next manager.
Agbonlahor says Tottenham may not want to appoint Pochettino as their next manager
Aside from Nagelsmann, many expect Spurs to hire Pochettino, branded as ‘world-class’ by Pep Guardiola via the Guardian as he has been there and done that.
While the 51-year-old was unable to win a trophy at N17, it would be ignorant to label the job he did as poor during his time at the club.

But now Gabby Agbonlahor has said that he even doubts that Tottenham Hotspur has any plans to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as the manager to replace Antonio Conte.
“Who do you go and get? Everyone has been saying Pochettino, but he’s already available and he hasn’t been given the job. So, if I’m Poch, I’d be thinking, ‘OK, so you’re just waiting until no-one else and then you’ll give it to me?’”
“He would have got it already until the end of the season, get in there, choose the players you want, who’s up for the job, and then in the summer you’re ready to get your transfers in. If Pochettino was going to get the job, you’d have thought he would have been offered in by now”, he said on talkSPORT.
While only time will prove whether Gabby Agbonlahor was right, perhaps Tottenham are looking at every manager possible before making any major decision, even if one of the names includes a club legend in Mauricio Pochettino.
