Tim Sherwood has claimed that Arsenal transfer target Kaoru Mitoma ‘moves like Gareth Bale’ following Brighton’s 2-1 Premier League win over Chelsea on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
Whilst Chelsea spent hundreds of hundreds of millions in recent transfer windows, only to go backwards and sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table, those at the Amex Stadium are picking up gems from out of nowhere.
Kaoru Mitoma is a prime example of that because the Seagulls signed the 25-year-old from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise for only £2.5 million in 2021 (Sussex Live).

In comparison, Chelsea spent £20 million on Carney Chukwuemeka (Sky Sports), a teenager they could have purchased for nothing in 2023 because he was seeing out his contract at Aston Villa – he has only managed 224 Premier League minutes since moving to the club.
That probably defines the two clubs and their transfer policies, as Brighton’s latest star, for his performance at Chelsea, was compared to a Real Madrid legend by Tim Sherwood, as he told Premier League Productions (15/04/23 at 3:55 pm).
“Mitoma moves that ball like Gareth Bale,” said Sherwood. “He dribbles that ball with pace and he knows what he is doing.

“He manipulates it very, very well. Ferguson has to score there and head that one down.”

ARSENAL INTERESTED IN ANOTHER BRIGHTON PLAYER…
The Premier League leaders have taken two Brighton players in recent years – Ben White, and most recently, Leandro Trossard during the January transfer window.
Whilst Chelsea try to find the receipt for Marc Cucurella, Arsenal are dancing in the rain because Trossard and White have been outstanding for them.
Well, they might just add Mitoma to their ranks during the summer transfer window because Arsenal have expressed interest in the Japan star.
