Harry Redknapp has told Tutto Mercato Web that he has been impressed with the work Roberto De Zerbi has done at Brighton since his move to the Premier League to replace Graham Potter – amid reports Tottenham could hire him.
Conte’s future at Spurs remains in doubt. While he will be back in the dugout on Wednesday night for the second leg against AC Milan, it is now expected he will leave this summer. Mail+ report Spurs do not want to trigger his extension.
Plenty of managers have been discussed regarding a replacement Conte come the summer. The obvious is Mauricio Pochettino, who remains out of work. The Argentine is considered iconic at Spurs, despite the end of his Spurs stint.
The Telegraph report that Brighton boss De Zerbi has admirers at Tottenham, too. Asked about the Seagulls manager, ex-Spurs boss Redknapp was full of praise – applauding Brighton for hiring De Zerbi as Graham Potter’s replacement.

“He’s doing a really good job at Brighton. He picked up Potter’s baton by doing very well. The club made a great choice to bet on him,” Redknapp has told Tutto Mercato Web, amid reports Spurs could look to go in for De Zerbi.

De Zerbi is a superb manager. Clearly, a boss that is getting the best out of the players at his disposal. But also a gaffer that plays with a nice style of football, one that perhaps adheres more to the wants and needs of Tottenham’s fanbase.
Whether De Zerbi will want to leave Brighton right now is another question. Especially, if the Seagulls themselves get into Europe. But, the lure of Spurs will surely appeal – as it did for Leandro Trossard, before his move to Arsenal.
