Canadian TikTok star Harrison Gilks passed away on March 30 and the 18-year-old spoke about his last Mexico trip and cancer battle in his final video.

Harrison’s brother announced the news of his passing via his TikTok account. “He was not in pain when he passed away and he was with his family,” the TikToker’s brother, David, said.

Harrison Gilks detailed his cancer battle in final video

On March 22, Harrison posted his final video on TikTok. The emotional clip saw the teen on a hospital bed as he spoke to his fans about his latest trip to Mexico and his cancer battle.

“Mexico – we finished off by just kind of enjoying the sun, doing shopping and stuff like that. Some people went to the water park. I chose not to,” he shared.

The 18-year-old revealed that he had some complications during the trip but he was still able to manage. However, he started facing a lot of issues once he got back home.

Harrison revealed that cancer had spread to his liver and that one of his lungs was filled with fluids because of the tumors. He shared that he had difficulty breathing.

The TikToker also revealed that he didn’t have a lot of time left. “Chances of me going home are very slim,” he shared.

He finally asked his fans to pray for him and his family. “It’s been a great ride with you guys on the bucket list. I wanna make some more videos if I can,” he said.

Teen started bucket list series after cancer diagnosis

Many of Harrison’s fans might already know that the TikTok star was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer known as rhabdomyosarcoma. It forms in the soft tissue, and Mayo Clinic notes that it most commonly affects children.

In June 2022, Harrison announced the start of his bucket list series after announcing that he had terminal cancer. “I’m going to go out and do a bunch of stuff that I’ve always wanted to do,” he said in the video.

In a video from the series, Harrison shared that he met Luke Combs at Cavendish Beach Music Fest. He shared videos from the time he went to an LA Rams football game, a Boys’ Trip to Montreal, a Helicopter tour, and more.

Fans mourn TikToker’s death

Many of Harrison’s fans took to Twitter to share their condolences.

“I’m so so sorry for, it was a blessing to know Harrison through his videos. I love you man,” a fan wrote on TikTok.

“I’m so sorry, he was so strong,” said another.

“It was a joy seeing all his adventures the past while,” a third fan said.
