Ever since a few bogus claims surfaced online, fans are wondering if Julian Sands has been “found alive” after he reportedly went missing more than a month ago.
The missing British actor’s brother, Nick Sands, expressed his concerns about his brother not being alive days after the authorities were unsuccessful in finding him despite ongoing efforts.
Only two days, famous radio host Jeffrey Vandergrift, also known as JV, was reported missing after last being seen at his home on Thursday, February 23.
Julian is reportedly missing since January 13, when he was hiking in the Baldy Bowl hiking area, about 50 miles northeast of Los Angeles.
An unverified video on YouTube claims he is not dead and has been “found alive.” Here are all the updates about the missing actor.
Unverified video claims Julian Sands has been ‘found alive’
A video shared on YouTube five days ago claims in the title that “missing Julian Sands” has been “found alive.” However, in the video, it has been claimed that he still remains missing.
Furthermore, there has been no confirmation from the police department or Julian’s family about the claims that he has been found.
The misleading title has resulted in fans wondering if the actor has been found alive, but the last update provided by Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on February 18 notes that “Unfortunately, nothing was found that would lead to the discovery of Mr. Sands.”
Nearly a week ago, the authorities said the ground search for the actor will be delayed due to a snowstorm that was expected to hit the area in Mt. Baldy, where the actor went missing.

He was reported missing while hiking
Julian, who is known for working in films such as A Room with A View and the horror fantasy Warlock, was reportedly hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains in California when he went missing.
His car was apparently found in the area and cellular pings revealed he was headed in the direction of the Baldy Bowl hiking area.
No other contact with him was established “due to the lack of cell service or cell phone power failure.”
Julian is married to his wife Evgenia Citkowitz with whom he shares two children.
Actor’s brother fears sibling may not be found
Friends and fans of the actor are praying for him to be rescued safely and his brother, Nick, who is a financial adviser, fears his brother may not be found.
During an interview, Nick shared: “He has not yet been declared missing, presumed dead, but I know in my heart that he has gone. However, sibling rivalry being what it is, it would be just like him to walk out of there and prove me wrong.”
The authorities’ efforts to find Julian’s family remain ongoing and there have been weeks of rescue missions. The actor’s family thanked members of the San Bernardino county sheriff’s department for their heroic actions in the search for Julian.
“We are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support,” they said.
