Gerry, 72, posted a photo of a legal pad on his Instagram feed with songs and artists written out on it.
The title at the top of the page read: “Gerry playlist.”
Among the first artists listed were Dua Lipa, Latto, and Pink.
Also on the list were Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Pit Bull, and Doja Cat.
Gerry also revealed some options for first dance songs, including Celine Dion’s The Power of Love and Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love you.
The assortment of younger artists left Golden Bachelor fans convinced that Gerry didn’t make the list, but rather created it with the help of someone on his team for social media.
Gerry’s caption read: “Could this be the start of a WEDDING playlist…”
In the comments, critics shared their opinions loud and clear.
One wrote: “Someone else made this up. Where are all the songs from the 60s to the 80s?”
“Are your granddaughters choosing the songs?!” Another joked.
A third commenter slammed: “This isn’t authentic? Two people born when they were would be mixing in songs from the 70s as well as some old classics. Post another picture when you actually have something we can believe. Maybe Michael Buble singing Home or The Way You Look Tonight.
“Don’t do something unclassy please!!! After all the efforts that went into the first ever Golden Couple.”
Someone else joked: “Worst wedding playlist in history.”
“Where are the classics? It’s your wedding but not at all what I thought your playlist would be,” another person joked.
PROTECT YOURSELF
Golden Bachelor fans have had a lot to say about Gerry and Theresa’s recent engagement and their impending marriage.
Following their engagement, viewers have demanded that Theresa consider getting a prenup before her wedding.
The couple is set to tie the knot on January 4, 2024.
Their wedding will be live-streamed on ABC.
The couple will honeymoon in Italy afterward.

News of their wedding plans comes after The Hollywood Reporter published an article exposing several “inconsistencies” between Gerry’s on-screen persona and his real-life self.
There is a long list of contradictions, including the details of Gerry’s dating life.
While he claims that he hasn’t dated in 45 years, he previously told Entertainment Tonight something very different.
Details about how the Golden Bachelor star pursued a woman one month after the death of his wife Toni, along with rumors that he used the same pickup lines on the women on the show as he did with women in real life, were featured in the exposé.
Following the article’s release, fans have suggested that Theresa proceed with caution.
One fan suggested: “Theresa baby get a prenup #GoldenBachelor I ain’t trustin him around the women he’s loved.”
“PRENUP,” tweeted another viewer before adding, “Nobody has asked in interviews blowing up this quickie televised wedding Jan 4th about [a] prenup.”
“If Teresa is that savvy business woman get it signed sealed & delivered STAT. If I were her kid would demand it. Protect assets #TheGoldenBachelor.”
Someone else wrote: “I really hope Theresa gets a good prenup – she’s gonna need it when he shows his true colors.
“The Hollywood Reporter article reinforced what his actions showed tonite.”
A fourth viewer wrote: “All I have to say is I hope Theresa gets a prenup. #GoldenBachelor.”
THE FINAL ROSE
Golden Bachelor fans weren’t entirely pleased with the outcome of the first season.
Gerry passed over Leslie Fhima, a 64-year-old fitness instructor from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
During the live show after the finale aired, Leslie spoke to host Jesse Palmer about her feelings.
She admitted: “I was devastated.
“I haven’t fallen in love with someone for a very long time so it was hard.”
Leslie also confronted Gerry, asking him where their relationship went wrong.
He replied: “It didn’t really go wrong, Leslie.
“It was just better with someone else.”
