GLEN Powell’s parents have received praise from fans in a new video to promote their cameo in the upcoming Twisters film.
The actor, who stars as social media guru Tyler Owens in the new film, will be joined by his mom, Cyndy, and dad, Glen Sr., in one special scene.
In a TikTok shared by the official Twisters account, Glen, 35, was seen coaching his parents before shooting their cameo in the film’s rodeo scene.
“How are you guys feeling?” Glen asked as his dad replied, “I’m feeling ready! I can’t wait!”
“Game time,” his mom chimed in.
After the Anyone But You star asked if they had been prepping, his dad confirmed they had done “a lot of prep” for the “big role.”
“I mean, I’m going to ultimately get Tyler’s signature on my hat,” he added, noting his son’s character in the movie.
The clip then showed Glen’s parents getting styled for the scene, to which Cyndy said her husband turned into a “pretty cowboy” in his button-up and cowboy hat.
The video continued in the car, as Glen told his parents that things were “about to go down” as they made their way to set.
Cyndy was the one filming, and as she flipped the camera into selfie mode, was seen wearing a red bandana around her neck with her hair and makeup styled.
The next behind-the-scenes look showed the crowd in the “big rodeo scene,” where Glen revealed his parents would be sitting behind him.
“Just to get to be with Glen and share the whole experience is so much fun,” Glen Sr. noted.
In the comments of the TikTok, fans gushed over their cameo and noted how much Glen looks like his parents.
“He is a perfect mix of his parents,” one person wrote, while a second added, “He looks just like his dad!!!”
The clip was also shared on X, where one person replied, “Beautiful like his mother.”
Another shared a screenshot of Cyndy smiling in the clip and added, “Okay guys… PLEASE HEAR ME OUT,” pointing out her beauty.

I SPY… GLEN’S PARENTS!
This wasn’t Glen’s parents’ first rodeo, however, as they have made cameos in other films their son has starred in.
While neither Glen Sr. nor Cyndy has any acting experience — Glen Sr. is an executive coach, and Cyndy is a stay-at-home mom — the actor has brought his parents along for most of his movies.
Some of Cyndy’s credits include a cameo as a professor in Jack & Bobby, a spy in Spy Kids 3, and a cafeteria worker in Everybody Wants Some!!.
“She loves being on set, she gets a kick out of it, and nepotism is kind of an expectation at this point,” the Top Gun: Maverick star told Interview Magazine in 2016.
“Now she’s like, ‘Glen, what’s my role in this movie?'”
Glen joked that while his mom doesn’t have much acting ability, she “delivers a very powerful performance in this movie in the background as a beachgoer looking for her towel.”
In his 2023 film Anyone But You, alongside Sydney Sweeney, his parents made a cameo as airline passengers.
Glen said he was “very proud of both of them,” adding that his dad didn’t have a “false beat in his performance” and that his mom “killed it.”
TWISTERS DETAILS
Glen has been promoting Twisters, his latest film that is set to release in theaters on July 19.
The upcoming movie is a standalone sequel to the 1996 film Twister, which starred Helen Hunt, 61, and Bill Paxton, the same age.
Glen stars alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos as the three carry out a non-continuous plot from the ’90s classic.
Other actors include Kiernan Shipka, Sasha Lane, David Corenswet, Katy O’Brian, Maura Tierney, Daryl McCormack, Harry Hadden-Paton, Tunde Adebimpe, Nik Dodani, and Brandon Perea.
Glen recently said Twisters has “one of the most incredible action sequences of all time” while interviewing with Fandango’s Big Ticket.
He added that he had to “put his body on the line in order to sell that experience.”
