Tina played Ginger Grant on Gilligan’s Island, alongside Russell Johnson, Dawn Wells, Bob Denver, Jim Backus, Natalie Schafer, and Alan Hale, Jr.

She is re-releasing her memoir, Sunday: A Memoir, 27 years after it first came out in 1997.

The actress is also releasing it on audio for the first time.

To commemorate the rerelease of her book, Tina shared a bit about her time on set on Facebook.

“I’ve been having fun doing press about my audiobook for the re-release of Sunday, my memoir written from my perspective as an 8-year-old. It’s really quite freeing and therapeutic to talk about it. The book is out now in various forms,” she wrote.

‘DIDN’T WANT TO DO IT’

Tina admitted to New York Living earlier this month that she didn’t think Gilligan’s Island was going to last.

“I thought it was going to just last six months, but it seemed to go on forever,” she said.

“I had just become a member of the Actor’s Studio, and I didn’t really want to do it, but they weren’t happy with the person who did the pilot, so I was just asked to do it.”

“I was in a Broadway show at the time with Carol Burnett, and I was asked to do this,” Tina went on.

“I was encouraged by a friend who told me it would only last six months and then I could go back to what I had been training for.”
