Epic Games will soon treat us all to Fortnite chapter 4 season 2, and it should be a really exciting episode judging by the leaks of map changes, POIs, and new weapons.
Fortnite is one of the most popular battle royale multiplayer titles and there’s lots to anticipate for the near future. Update 23.50 recently arrived, and CH4 S1 has treated us to events such as a part 2 collaboration with Dragon Ball.
While the current season has been fantastic, the next episode promises to be even better as it will take players to a neo-Tokyo.
Fortnite chapter 4 season 2 map changes
Leaked map changes for Fortnite chapter 4 season 2 include a neo-Tokyo POI as well as a new version of Lucky Landing.
This comes courtesy of Hypex on Twitter. They and ShiinaBR claim there will also be futuristic motorcycles to ride around the fresh playground.
Chapter 4 season 1 added kinetic ores to travel great distances, meanwhile further leaks suggest season 2 will add ‘glowing tubes to slide on as mobility while holding your weapon’.
Of course, none of this is official as of writing. The only thing Epic Games has confirmed right now is when Fortnite chapter 4 season 1 will end.
Still, although not confirmed as of yet, Hypex and ShiinaBR are two of the most prominent and reliable leakers online.
New weapons
Leaks suggest new weapons for Fortnite chapter 4 season 2 include katanas as well as a fresh pistol and shotgun.
According to Hypex, the pump shotgun makes it return with a fresh version. Although not a weapon, it’s also reported that first-person mode will come out with the new update.
Lastly, leaker Wensoing has revealed the following items may be released as they were not released in S1 as intended:
- Medkit/Shield Potion Revamp: Every second you are using the item, you’ll get 10 shield/HP
- Exotic Knockback SMG
- New Burst SMG
- DPS Assault Rifle
- New “Core” versions of these weapons:
- Snipers
- DMR
- Rocket Launcher
- Revolver
