A SUSPECT in Food Network star Tobias Dorzon’s shooting case has been arrested seven months after the horrific crime, The U.S. Sun can report.
Maryland man Devin Spivey, 21, was arrested on 18 counts related to the shooting and robbery against Tournament of Champions alum Dorzon, 40, on November 5, 2024.
He was ordered to remain in custody without bail.
According to WJLA news in Washington, DC, Spivey “stalked” Dorzon’s Uber ride from Ruth Chris Steak House in DC to an address in Hyattsville, Maryland at around 10 pm.
After the pair exited the car, several suspects shot Dorzon and a woman, and stole $100,000 worth of valuables from them.
The assailants allegedly escaped in a stolen White Infiniti EX35.
Food Network alum Dorzon is now on the mend after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He broke his silence on the arrest in a statement to Instagram on Tuesday, July 1.
“I know people might expect me to say a lot today… but truthfully, I don’t have much to say,” he said.
“Because how do you put words to something like this?
There’s no training for getting shot. No script for learning how to live with it. I’m still figuring out how to feel. Still learning how to breathe in this new version of my life.

“But I do know this—God had His hand on me that night. He covered me. He covered us. And I thank Him every single day for keeping me here.”
He said his recovery has been “rough” and full of “pain.”
“Rehab has been rough. Real rough. Waking up in pain. Adjusting to a body that doesn’t move like it used to. Learning how to sleep with one eye open. Watching my back in places I used to feel safe. That part hurts,” he continued.
“But I’m still here. Still standing. Still cooking. Still chasing greatness. And I’m not stopping.
“To everyone who’s prayed for me, checked on me, loved on me—thank you. That love kept me alive too.
“I’m giving it all to God. And I’m giving the rest to the fire that still burns in me to be the greatest chef to ever do it.
“We’re not done yet. Not even close.”
Before his turn as a celebrity chef and restaurateur, he was a NFL football player.
He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tennessee Titans before his retirement.
He now owns Huncho House in Hyattsville, as well as Union District Oyster Bar and Lounge in DC and Thirteen restaurant in Houston.
