Are there train strikes on April 3rd, 4th, 5th 6th 2023?

Find out if there are any train strikes in the first week of April, including the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th as the industrial action continues.

One of Britain’s rail unions, the TSSA, accepted a deal from the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) and ended their dispute over pay and working conditions.

However, the Rail, Marine and Transport Union (RMT) and ASLEF are still in dispute, meaning strikes are still taking place.

The RMT wants a pay rise for its members that reflects inflation and have rejected numerous deals which they deem insufficient.

Are there train strikes on April 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th?

No. There are no train strikes planned on Monday, April 3, Tuesday 4, Wednesday 5, or Thursday 6.

However, there is a walkout the weekend before, on Saturday, April 1. RMT members across 14 train operating companies are striking.

This is the last organised strike date in the UK when writing this. Services may also be deleted on Sunday, April 2 as the network recovers.

All upcoming UK strike dates

There are four train strikes coming in Britain:

  • Thursday, March 16
  • Saturday, March 18
  • Thursday, March 30
  • Saturday, April 1

All of them have been organised by the RMT and workers will be walking out from 12.01am to 11.59pm on the above dates.

London Underground drivers from the RMT as ASLEF unions are also striking for 24 hours on Budget Day, Wednesday, March 15.

There is expected to be little or no service on every tube service apart from the Elizabeth Line which will run as normal but may be busier.

This comes as the RMT cancels a strike after receiving a new pay offer. Network Rail staff were due to walk out from March 16 to 17.
