NLE Choppa is currently missing, the rapper’s mother said in an Instagram post on Friday.
Angeleta Potts said she hasn’t been able to get in touch with the musician for hours, which is unusual.

“Y’all help me pray over my child,” she said in the post.
“I ain’t talked to this boy in hours and he usually doesn’t do this. One thing I know about my son is that he doesn’t go ghost for any reason.”
Potts added that the rapper, real name Bryson Lashuan Potts, plans to move back to Cottonwood – the neighborhood where he grew up in Memphis, Tennessee – to work on a new mixtape.
The neighborhood is also the namesake of his breakthrough 2019 EP.
“We worked hard to get out of just for a mixtape SMH!” Potts said.
“Whatever your working on I pray GOD is guiding you.
“If y’all hear from him please contact me ASAP!
“To the fans he wants to please thanks a lot.”
NLE Choppa’s management also appeared to post a story about the situation on his Instagram.
“Contact @angeletapotts if choppy is heard from!” the message says.
Fans left supportive comments below Potts’ post.

“Prayers for you both, Mama,” one said.
“I know it’s hard, but stand firm in your prayers for him to complete his mission and come back home whole.”
Another commenter speculated that NLE Choppa returned to Memphis for musical inspiration.
“I’m guessing he needs inspiration from where came from for his project, they said.
“I do the same all the time. Just gotta make sure he (has)… ppl who love and care for him around while going back to the city.”
On Thursday, NLE Choppa replied to an old post from a fan who wanted the rapper to return to his old sound on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
“Y’all keep asking for old NLE like the music I ain’t been giving y’all recently ain’t getting plaques!” he said.
“I’m tryna grow as a artist but y’all want me backtracking on BS. But bet that up.
“I’m on straight dirt y’all got me f***ed up. One of the most streamed artists this year but bet.”
The Memphis Police Department told The U.S. Sun they don’t have a missing persons report for NLE Choppa.
Potts and the rapper’s management didn’t immediately respond to The U.S. Sun’s requests for comment.
