DJ Khaled has become a victim of the cruel Internet trend of death hoaxes after baseless claims that he is dead in a car accident in 2023.
Social media users often come to believe fake news about their favorite celebrities without realizing most of them are cheap stunts to gain clout.
Just like DJ Khaled, a number of famous people have been targeted by pranksters and trolls online, including Tom Holland, Ice Spice and Justin Bieber.
Rumor claims DJ Khaled met with a car accident
The baseless rumors stem from a fake report that’s going around on TikTok. While citing unconfirmed sources, the website claims the rapper met with an accident when he was driving while Snapchatting.
The fake report makes more ridiculous claims: “DJ Khaled was being taken away in a stretcher by EMTs when he reportedly asked for a reporters microphone and said “Car crashes are keys to success too. They don’t want you to crash. A lot of people can’t handle car crashes but… I can.”
The outlet, however, does not say the rapper died from the accident. Instead, they write he survived with minor injuries and that he’s expected to heal in a few days.
But, there’s no truth to the above rumors and nothing of the sort has been officially reported or confirmed by DJ Khaled himself.
He isn’t dead
As always, some took advantage of the rumor and fabricated it further. They circulated a video that claimed the rapper had died in a car accident.

The video, which has left many convinced, begins with a note saying “RIP DJ Khaled”, before showing pictures of a severely damaged car, implying that the musician was driving it at the time of the supposed accident.
The TikTok also features another fake claim, alleging that the police confirmed DJ Khaled’s death.
“Khaled’s death was informed by the Broward County Sherrif’s office at exactly 5:30 pm. Suspect Dedrick Devonshay Williams of Pompano was arrested two days after the shooting, shortly before 7 pm. Held in the Broward County jail, he is charged with first-degree murder without premeditation.” the fake news claims.
As you know by now, this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Rapper is alive and well in 2023
There’s no reason to worry about DJ Khaled as he’s doing well as opposed to what the fake reports claim.
His most recent Instagram story was shared a few hours ago, showing off sweatpants by Rihanna‘s brand Savage X Fenty.
After the success of his 2022 studio album God Did, the rapper has been indulging in a lot of recreational activities. He’s yet to announce any new music.
