Newcastle United want Lee Kang-in and the Mallorca playmaker is now thoroughly expected to make a summer transfer.
The Magpies will surely be in the market for a creative midfield player this summer.
James Maddison is linked with Newcastle every month at this point and the Magpies may well make their move.
Newcastle would be wise to have other targets in mind though and Mallorca star Lee appears to be a target.
Spanish newspaper Marca reported in November that Newcastle are the most interested club when it comes to signing Lee.
It was noted at the time that Lee has a €17million (£15million) release clause in his contract.
Fabrizio Romano now offers an update, claiming on Twitter that Lee is ‘expected to leave’ this summer.
Romano claims that Premier League clubs want Lee and there is now a strong chance of him earning a move.

Who is Newcastle United target Lee Kang-in?
Lee spent time with hometown club Incheon United over in South Korea before joining the Valencia ranks aged just 10.
Valencia academy director Luis Vicente Mateo told Goal in 2019 that he felt Lee was an ‘outstanding talent’.
Long tipped as a star of the future, Lee showed some promise for Valencia but never quite lived up to his billing.
After just three goals in 62 games for Valencia, the playmaker was surprisingly released in August 2021 and Mallorca swooped in.
Lee has excelled for Mallorca, racking up three goals and five assists this season.
Lee is starting to fulfil his potential and may now be ready to take the next step in his career at 22.
Newcastle are a club to watch in this transfer race with Lee potentially viewed as an alternative to Maddison this summer.
