Bristol City boss Nigel Pearson has said that if any club puts the money on the table for Tottenham Hotspur-linked starlet Alex Scott, a transfer may be on the cards.
Journalist Dean Jones had reported in March that Spurs had opened initial talks to complete a deal for the English attacking midfielder valued at £25 million.
As Tottenham Hotspur fans wonder which transfer targets the club have in mind, it seems as if one that could come through the door is Alex Scott, as suggested by Nigel Pearson.
Tottenham could complete Alex Scott transfer after Nigel Pearson admission
Hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by Pep Guardiola after his sparkling showing for Bristol City in their 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup, the youngster clearly has heaps of talent.

In fact, Scott is classed as one of the most promising up-and-coming players in the entirety of English football at just 19 years of age.

Now, Nigel Pearson has suggested that a transfer could be possible for Tottenham-linked Alex Scott, providing any suitors pays the big bucks.
“Alex Scott for instance as a point of conversation, every player has a price. It will have to be one hell of a bid for him to go”, he told Bristol Live. “I can assure you that Steve [Lansdown, the Bristol City majority shareholder], he doesn’t want to sell players for the sake of it. It’s not about that.”
“I think Alex Scott’s had two really good Championship seasons for us which is remarkable to say he’s only 19 and he’s been one of our most successful and consistent players but for somebody to get him away from here is going to cost a fortune so we’re not going to undersell ourselves at all. And that’s why it’s important to get young players on long contracts.”
Tottenham will be encouraged to read what Nigel Pearson has said as it seems like a transfer for Alex Scott is doable in the summer.
